Make a flower arrangement inspired by a painting
This is a fun and interactive workshop where you’ll learn all the secrets for making a beautiful floral arrangement…inspired by a painting!
Let’s immerse ourselves into the natural world of colors and textures. Let’s create beauty within a creative, judgement-less, and inspiring context.
The workshop consists of 3 parts:
1) I will show a floral painting and go over its formal elements, and the story of the painter who made it.
2) After that, we’ll make the flower arrangement inspired by the painting!
3) I will conclude the workshop sharing some pics of my favorite botanical artists so that you can get even more inspiration from seeing how Art and Floristry can be combined. At this point, I’ll leave you with a trick on how to use creativity as a form of resilience.
You can choose to participate in 2 ways:
1.Watch, learn, interact.
2.Make the floral arrangement with me.
No previous experience is required.
Don’t worry if you can’t find all the listed materials, just bring what you can and we’ll find the way to arrange your flowers at best in any case.

I am a floral designer with an artistic eclectic background. I am originally from Italy, but I’ve grown up around the world (Melbourne-AUS, London-UK, Paris-FR, San Francisco-USA).
I graduated with a Master Degree in Visual Arts at DAMS University (Bologna, Italy) in 2016 and I started working very soon in the art world. I curated 10+ exhibitions in Milan (Spazio Nour), Melbourne (Make Your Mark art gallery), and San Francisco (Red Poppy Art House), and I published the art book "M. R. Ballestra, a Phenomenology of Posthuman", Mimesis, 2018.
I have always been making art myself, and along the years I have experimented with different media (like painting and assemblage).
In the last years, I chose to focus on Floral Design because I consider it the most rewarding practice for me, and a profession that allows me to express myself at best also applying my passion and knowledge of the Visual Art field.
I developed professional skills in 3 different arranging styles: Wild, Traditional and Modern, and I created unique designs for VIP clients like Millennium Tower, 4 Season Hotel, Intercontinental Hotel, Marriott, Hyatt-Regency, Deloitte, IBM, and many more.
Finally, when Covid-19 started, and the social isolation came along, I decided to reinvent myself and transfer my passion online to connect with a broader community.
My clients describe my works as "incredible pieces of art".
